MARY RUTH THEODOS, LGPC
Individual Counseling Ages 18+, LOTUS POINT WELLNESS INTAKE COORDINATOR
I use an eclectic approach to encourage individuals towards self-discovery and telling their stories. Through a warm and empathetic approach, I nurture and empower clients away from shame and self-doubt as they explore their gifts and strengths. I am passionate about helping women of color use their voice to empower themselves and those they love. In particular, my strengths are in relationship dynamics, racial healing, time management, parenting young children, and self care. I enjoy working with new parents, college-age students, and women of color. I assist my clients in telling their own story and creating attainable goals for self-care as well as practical approaches to racial trauma.
I use a person-centered approach and create a calm and nurturing environment for my clients. I am able to support my clients in understanding how trauma affects their lives and relationships. I work with adults, ages 18 and above but have previous experience with counseling and teaching in schools.
