FREQUENTLY ASKED QUESTIONS
How much do your services cost?
Some fees may vary depending on the therapist you or your child sees; the services they provide and the extent of the assessment or intervention. You should always ask your therapist about the fees they charge.
We also offer a limited number of sliding fee options if there is a financial concern. These will always be up to the therapist to decide based on the need.
Can I receive reimbursement from my insurance company for LPW services?
We are a fee-for-service practice and don’t participate with any insurance panels. However, practically all of the clinical services provided by Lotus Point clinicians are insurance reimbursable and most of our clients receive reimbursement from their insurance carriers for services rendered by LPW clinicians.
How do I pay for services?
Payment by cash, check or credit card is due at the time of service. We prefer credit card or cash but if using checks, please make them payable to Lotus Point Wellness, Inc. We also ask that a credit card number be held in your file in case of missed or cancelled appointments with less than 48 hours notice (see our policies which states this information).
Are you a participating provider with any insurance carrier?
Lotus Point Wellness is a fee-for-service, or “private pay,” company so this means that we are considered “out-of-network” and only accept our full fee for services. We do not accept any insurance allowable or reimbursed rate to clients as payment for our services. You should always check with your insurance company to see what types of benefits they offer for mental health since it’s possible you can get some reimbursement for services.
Will you provide a superbill for submission to insurance companies?
Lotus point Wellness will provide a receipt after each session and a Superbill at the end of the month, by email, which will give you all the information you need to submit to your insurance company for reimbursement.
Why don’t you participate in any insurance or managed care program?
LPW believes in protecting client’s privacy, as much as possible, and as a strengths-based and skill-building oriented practice, we work to identify our clients’ strengths and aptitudes rather than to focus on diagnosing particular disorders or mental health conditions. Whereas we are trained and licensed to diagnosis and will put a diagnosis on your receipt and Superbill, we prefer to treat emotional and behavioral problems creatively and conceptualize interventions tailored to fit the client and not necessarily employ the pathway a particular insurance company may mandate.
